Food Network Wants You To Pin Your Favorite Holiday Cookie

English: The logo of Food Network.

The Food Network recently launched a fun contest that uses crowdsourcing on Pinterest to pick their spotlighted holiday cookie.

The contest is simple: visit the Food Network's "Let's Vote: Holiday Cookies" board and repin your favorite cookie. The cookie with the most repins will be included in the network's 12 Days of Cookies celebration in December.

With businesses of all types and sizes scurrying around, trying to figure out how they can use Pinterest in their marketing campaigns, simple contests like this one are sometimes the most successful. All of the cookies being voted (repinned) on are linked to recipe pages on their site. Thus, each vote is generating web traffic and creating an implied social recommendation to each user's network.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, it appears the Chocolate Cheescake Candy Cane Bars are currently  eking out a victory over the Oatmeal Cream Cheese Butterscotch Bars. Don't forget to vote for your favorite!.
